I provide physical, emotional, and informational support to women and their partners during their experience of labor, birth, and the immediate postpartum period, including initial breastfeeding.

I help ease anxiety and fears, remaining present for you no matter how your path to birth unfolds.

I provide constant one-to-one support, including helping with pain coping practices, suggesting various positions to help labor progress, and helping you and your partner form and make decisions.

I will support whatever decision you make regarding your birth.

I believe in your ability to give birth and I help you to realise this ability.
What I DON'T do:

I don't perform any clinical tasks, though I will provide you physical, emotional and informational support as needed.

I do not make decisions for you and do not speak to health care providers on your behalf. I will assist you in obtaining the information you need to make informed decisions about your birth.
How it works
I would like to meet with you and your partner for an initial visit in order to become acquainted and determine if I will be a good fit as your doula. At the initial visit we can discuss how you see us working together and any specific plans or information you will need to make informed decisions about your labour.
